My name is Christopher Johns and my passion for art started at a young age. As a child I loved to draw, and would sit in my room for hours coloring and drawing whatever came to my mind. Over the years my artistic expressions continued, and I began experimenting with different mediums of art. I never really knew which direction I wanted to go with my abilities until about 2007 when I began drawing people, and more specifically faces. I desired more realism in my work and was gifted with the opportunity of apprenticing under a great portrait artist.

I studied with this artist for quite some time and caught on very quickly. When we parted, I continued to hone in on different techniques and methods in which to make my portraits truly come alive. It is through this experimentation I developed my own unique style and never looked back.

Since then I have been drawing portraits, which are my specialty. Creating art is not just a hobby; it's my passion. The seamless effort that goes into bringing the subject on canvas to life, as if you're gazing into a person's eyes drives me to always take my art farther. As an artist you are in control of bringing a blank canvas to life and creating a world or person beautifully equivalent to our own.
